Reviving the 1950's Pinup!

So, for years, I've been raving about reinstating the 1950's pinup. I really wanted to revive her in the most classic and classy of ways. After mastering the classic look, I want to reinvent her, but for now, I'll settle for the classic.

I did this shoot with Amanda Rosa, a local model. She was a joy to shoot with! She was so lively on set, and her and little Jersey got along SO well!

Check out some more pictures after the jump!

I think we nailed it. I tried to modernize it a bit with the cheetah print belt. I think it's fabulous. She was fabulous. The belt's from Target, the bodysuit's from the thrift. Those are her shoes, but the lipstick is Lasting Finish by Kate's #001. I think that pretty much makes the look. The two things that always really stick out to me are the wing-tip liners and the cherry red lips. At a second glance, the dark brows are usually contrasted by a flatly-colored face, which is framed by a variation of curls, and offset by playful facial expressions.

This was a really fun shoot because she was so comfortable with her body. She didn't need much direction, but what I gave, she took fifteen steps further.

Mind you, this is only one of yesterday's three looks, so be on the lookout for more from me and Amanda!
